O'LEARY - The O'Leary guardian Pharmacy Maroons are set to host the Tyne Valley Tornadoes in a rare Sunday afternoon game here at the Community Sports Centre.
The Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game will begin at 2:00p.m.
The game is being played Sunday afternoon insted of Saturday night because of the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers are hosting the Western Red Wings in an Island Junior Hockey League game at the Community Sports Centre in O'Leary on Saturday night.
The Maroons are off to a 3-0 (won-lost) start after barely hanging on for a 4-3 in Kensington on Wednesday. The Tornadoes had one win and a shootout loss heading into Friday night's game.
Maroons Coach Kevin Adams was pleased with goalie Curtis Reilly's play against Kensington and his penalty killers, who managed to kill off a five on three man advantage for the last two minutes of the game.
Adams is hoping the line of Andre Howard, Darcy Harris, and Kory Cooke continue their strong play. All three were in on all four goals against the Granites.
The maroons were pleased with the crowd they had had for their home opener against Alberton, and are looking for continued support Sunday as the Tornadoes have a strong following.
