    ALBERTON -
    The Kensington Club/Clark Insurance Granites made two first period goals stand up against the Elmsdale Corner Gas Regals recently.

    The Granites edges the Regals 2-1 in a Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League contest, played at the Jacques Cartier Arena.

    Jasun Campbell (1-1) and Cory Conway, who netted the game-winning goal, skated the Granites to a 2-0 lead after one period. Garrett Lewis, assisted by Pat Turkot and Chris Avery, scored in the middle frame to cut the lead in half.

    Trevor Whelan added an assist for the Granites.

    Tim MacPhee earned the goaltending win and Mitchell Gordon took the loss.

    Lewis was named the Regals' Sidewalk Grill player of the game.

    The Regals were assessed four of the game's seven minor penalties.
