KENSINGTON - The Kensington Club/Clark Insurance Granites jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period and never looked back Sunday night.
The Granites went on to outscore the Tignish Aces 11-7 in an Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game at Community Gardens.
Although his team lost, Jeff Keough of the Aces had a memorable night with a six assist performance.
Robbie Doiron (3-1), Kirk MacPhee (3-1) and Andrew Hayes (2-2) all had four points to lead the Granites.
Ben Ramsay (1-3), Trevor Whalen (1-2) and Mark Gregory (1-1) rounded out Kensington's scoring.
Ronnie Pineau, Jonathan Cameron and Kirk Johnston chipped in with single helpers.
Jason Hackett (3), Kenneth Gaudet (2-2), Jason Gaudet (1-3) and Trevor Kinch (1-1) answered for the Aces, who trailed 9-4 after 40 minutes.
Sandy Shea also had a single helper.
Tim MacPhee earned the goaltending win while Jonathan Gaudet suffered the loss in goal for the Aces.
Referee Richard Johnson called a total of 11 minors, six of those against Tignish.
Each team picked up one fighting major and game misconduct.
The Granites' next home game is against the Evangeline Flyers on Wednesday night at 8:00p.m.
