O'LEARY - Jason Ellis recorded six points to lead the Tyne Valley Tornadoes past the O'Leary Guardian Pharmacy Maroons 9 - 6 on Saturday night.
The O'Leary Community Sports Centre was the site of the Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game.
Ellis had three goals and three assists while Colin Arsenault also netted a hat trick and addeda helper for four points. D'Arcy Hutchinson (2) and Colin MacArthur (1-4) scored Tyne Valley's other goals.
Kyle Sark, Trevor Henwood, Alex McCaull, Tylan Robinson, Robbie Bulger and Matthew Yeo added single assists to Tyne Valley's attack.
Lucas Verret (3), Kory Cooke (1-2), Neil Boulter (1-1) and Darcy Harris (1-1) answered for the Maroons. Simon Smallman (2), Kyle Cooke (2) and David Sweet (2) were credited with helpers.
Tyne Valley held period leads of 4-2 and 5-4.
Winning goaltender was Jeff Noye and Curtis Reilly took the loss.
The Maroons were assessed nine of the game's 15 minor penalties. O'Leary also picked up one checking-from-behind game misconduct.
