    Score six second-period goals

    ABRAM-VILLAGE - The Evangeline Arsenaults Fish Mart Flyers, keyed by a six-goal second period, moved into the win column in the Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League recently.

    The Flyers downed the Tignish Aces 8-3 at the Evangeline Recreation Centre.

    After the Aces took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, the Flyers' offense exploded in the middle frame for a 6-2 advantage following 40 minutes.

    Jamie Caissie (2-1) and Justin Arsenault (1-2) each had three points to lead the Flyers. Shawn Arsenault (1-1), Pierre Richard, Jonathan Lefurgey, Joey O'Brien and Gilles Barriault also scored. Matthew Arsenault added two assists and singles were credited to Shawn Bernard and Joel Arsenault.

    Kendall Hackett, Ivan Gallant and Kramer Perry replied for the Aces, Single assists went to Aldon Gaudet, Jonathan Perry, Sandy Shea, Trevor Kinch and Michael O'Halloran.

    Winning goaltender was John MacLellan and Jonathan Gaudet took the loss in goal for the Aces.

    The Aces were whistled for three of four minor penalties called in the game. Each team picked up one fighting major and game misconduct.
