NORTH RUSTICO - Mark Gregory was in on all six goals to lead the Kensington Club/Clark Insurance Granites to a 6-3 victory over the Alberton Elmsdale Corner Gas Regals recently.
The neutral-site Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game was played before approximately 200 fans at the North Star Arena.
Gregory, who had three goals and three assists, scored the winning goal while shorthanded 2:21 into the third peroid to snap a 3-3 tie. Gregory's linemates, Johnathan Doiron (2-2) and Andrew Hayes (1-3), rounded out Kensington's scoring.
Travis Mallett, Garrett Lewis and Chris Gordon answered for the Regals, who received helpers from Chris Avery, Alex MacDonald, Kenzie Horn and Morgan DesRoches.
The Granites led 1-0 after one period and the teams entered the second intermission tied 3-3.
Winning goaltender was Tim MacPhee and Mitchell Gordon was between the pipes for the Regals.
Referee Wayne "PeeWee" Doyle called four minors, two fighting majors and two game misconducts against the Regals, Kensington was assessed two minors, one checking-to-the-head major penalty, two fighting majors and four game misconducts.
The Granites' next home game is against the Tignish Aces on Sunday, Dec. 14. Game time at Community Gardens in Kensington is 7:30p.m.
