ABRAM-VILLAGE - The Tyne Valley Tornadoes prevailed over the Wellington Arsenault Fish Mart Flyers in a high-scoring Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game Tuesday night.
The final score at the Evangeline Recreation Centre was 8-7.
Jason Ellis (2-2), Colin MacArthur (1-3) and Jeremy Martin (1-3) all had four points to lead the Tornadoes attack. Chris Ellis (1-1), Tylan Robinson (1-1), Matthew Yeo and Wayne Biggar also contributed goals for Tyne Valley, which received assists from Perry Grigg (2), Trevor Henwood and D'Arcy Hutchinson.
Shawn Bernard (2), Craig Gallant (2), Cory Ross (1-1), Joey O'Brien and Nick Arsenault dented the twine for the Flyers. Pete Gallant (2), Matthew Richard and Matthew Arsenault chipped in with helpers.
The first period ended in a 4-4 tie and Tyne Valley led 6-5 following 40 minutes.
Nick Heer earned the goaltending win and John MacLellan was between the pipes for Wellington.
Referee Steve Dyer assessed seven of the game's 11 minor penalties against Tyne Valley.
