TYNE VALLEY - The Tyne Valley Tornadoes trimmed the Wellington Atrsenault Fish Mart Flyers 8-2 in Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League action here at the Community Sports Centre recently.
Jason Ellis (2-1), Jeremy Martin (1-3), Colin MacArthur (1-2), D'Arcy Hutchinson (1-2), Matthew Yeo, Adam Ballum and Cory Ellis scored for the Tornadoes, who built period leads of 2-0 and 6-1.
Colin Arsenault (2), Wayne Biggar (2), Chris Ellis, Greg MacDougall, Ale MacCaull and Trevor Henwood were credited with helpers.
Chris Johnson scored both Wellington goals, with single helpers from Nick Hann, Curtis Enman and Joel Arsenault.
Winning goaltender was Jeff Noye.
Referee Richard Johnson called a total of 25 minor penalties - 14 of those against Tyne valley.
Each team also picked up one 10-minute misconduct, one fighting major and one game misconduct.
