O'LEARY - Jason Ellis netted a hat trick and chipped in with an assist to spark the Tyne Valley Tornadoes to a 7-4 victory over the O'Leary Guardian Pharmacy Maroons.
The Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game was played at the O'Leary Community Sports Centre recently.
Jeremy Martin (1-2), Colin MacArthur (1-1), Colin Arsenault and Adam Ballum rounded out Tyne Valley's scoring. Greg MacDougall (2), Chris Ellis (2), Ian Postma and Matt Yeo contributed helpers.
Kory Cooke, Lucas Verret, Andre Howard and Simon Smallman replied for the Maroons, who received single helpers from Danny Dunahue, Neil Boulter and David Sweet.
The Tornadoes held peroid leads of 2-0 and 5-2.
Winning goaltender was Nick Heer and Derek Fitzpatrick took the loss.
