TIGNISH - The Tignish Perry's Construction Aces pulled out a narrow victory when they hosted the Wellington Arsenault Fish Mart Flyers Friday night.
The Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League match ended in a 6 - 5 win for the home team at Credit Union Arena.
Tignish had a strong first period with four goals one of which was Jeff Keough's (2-1) first of a two goal night.
The others were netted by Jason Hackett (1-1), Trevor Kinch (1-1), Ricky Hackett and Kenneth Gaudet (1-2).
The Flyers answered with two goals in the first by Matthew Richard (2-1) and Joey O'Brien. They rallied with three more in the last period, another from Richard plus goals by Chris Johnson and Nick Hann (1-1), but it wasn't enough.
Troy Ellsworth was between the pipes for the Aces' win and John MacLellan suffered the loss in goal for the Flyers.
