TIGNISH - The Tignish Perry's Construction Aces hosted They Tyne Valley Tornadoes at Credit Union Arena Friday night when they beat the visitors 7 - 2.
The Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game saw the Aces take an early lead, scoring two unanswered goals in the first period. Sandy Shea and Alex Arsenault shot in these first two but it was Jeff Keough who led the scoring for the Aces, netted a pair.
The other goals for Tignish were scored by Dwayne Handrahan, Aaron Hogan and Jonathan Perry.
One of the biggest helpers of the night was Jason Gaudet, who assisted on three goals, while Shawn Shea helped two as did Trevor Kinch.
Tyne Valley's two goals were scored by Justin Grady and Colin MacArthur (1-1). Assists were by D'Arcy Hutchinson, Jason Ellis and Trevor Henwood.
The Score heading into the third period was 4 - 1 for the Aces, who added three more in the final stanza to secure the win.
Jonathan Gaudet recorded the win, for his first of the 08/09 season, for the Aces, while Jeff Noye suffered the loss.
