TIGNISH - The Tyne Valley Tornadoes stormed into Tignish Friday night and blew away the Tignish Aces 11-1.
The Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game saw the visitors dominate from the beginning scoring four unanswered goals in the first period.
The Aces answered in the second period with only one by Jeff Keough - their only goal of the game.
Tyne Valley's scoring was led by Jason Ellis (2-1), Chris Ellis (2), Colin MacArthur (2-1) and Jeremy Martin (2-5) who each scored a pair. Singles were added be Wayne Bigger, Colin Arsenault (1-1) and Alex MacCaul (1-1).
Other Tyne Valley assists came from Robbie Bulger, Adam Ballum and Kyle Sark.
Jason Hackett and Aaron Hogan were credited with the assists on Keough's goal.
The Aces will be back on home ice again Sunday at 6:30p.m. when they host the Alberton based Elmsdale Corner Gas Regals.
