ABRAM-VILLAGE - The O'Leary Guardian Pharmacy Maroons scored six second-period goals to break open a close Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League game against the Wellington Arsenault Fish Mart Flyers.
The Maroons took a 2 - 1 lead into the second period and then outscored the Flyers 6 - 2 in the middle frame to open up a 8 - 3 cushion after 40 minutes.
At the Evangeline Recreation Centre, Kory Cooke led the Maroons with two goals and five assists.
Darcy Harris (2-3), Simon Smallman (1-3), Joseph MacDougall (1-2), Justin Gorrill (1-1), Lucas Verret and Kyle Cooke also scored. Shawn MacMillan added three assists.
Nick Arsenault (1-2) and Jonathan Arsenault (3) replied for the Flyers.
Single helpers went to Matthew Richard, Ghislain Bernard, Joey O'Brien and Pierre Richard.
Curtis Reilly earned the goaltending win and John MacLellan suffered the loss.
The Flyers picked up five of the game's nine minor penalties.
Each team also received two fighting majors and two game misconducts.
