ALBERTON - Mitchell Hardy's second goal of the game with 9:38 left in the third period snapped a 3-3 tie and gave the Elmsdale Corner Gas Regals a 4-3 victory over the Kensington Club/Clark Insurance Granites recently.
The Easy-Stow Senior Hockey League contest was played at Jacques Cartier Arena.
Hardy also added an assist for a three point night while Morgan DesRoches had two goals and two assists. Alex MacDonald (2), Kenzie Horne and Tyson McNeill chipped in with helpers.
Johnathan Doiron (1-1), Andrew Hayes (1-1) and Andy Ramsay answered for the Granites, who received helpers from Mark Gregory (2) and Kirk MacPhee.
The score was tied 2-2 after one period and 3-3 following 40 minutes.
Mitchell Gordon earned the win in relief of started Kendall Palmer, when he went down with a lower body injury in the second period. Tim MacPhee was between the pipes for the Granites.
The Granites were assessed five minors, one fighting major and a game misconduct, the Regals picked up six minors, one fighting major, one game misconduct and one 10-minute misconduct.
